Old TGT's -spring '94 (32) onwards
Does anyone want these old TGT's before they go into the paper recycling. Spring 1994 issue 32 to 46 plus some others dated 2000 and 52 to 55. Trying not be be sentimental and keep too much history when we move. Have just found a newpaper article about Midtec taking the bronze over 25th Feb 1992 ...

Re: Found a box of Bronze bits
Fine thanks Graeme. If Johnny has these bits there is just the literature to sort and go. Gold went for £1200 to first viewer -eye for a bargain obviously. Packing, sorting and building/ repairing chicken coops as fast as able as time is running out. Hankering after a Fergie TE20 tractor with plough ...

Found a box of Bronze bits
Stuff keeps turning up. I have a load of original sales literature for bronze and gold plus unused bronze build manual which I will sort out and post. In the meantime I uncovered a box in the shed marked 'Bronze bits' leftover from breaking a 1986. It contains:-

Re: Original undertrays, Gold Convertible
I have some undertrays for '88 Gold. Never been fitted. Sold the car over a month ago but they still haven't been collected, despite reminder emails. If they are still here when we have to clear everything out next year before moving you can have them. South East Staffordshire we are.

Re: Coilover springs
Hans has a point. My Bronze used to hammer over bumps with no weight in because the suspension dampers were always nearly fully extended. The Gold had exactly the same Spax units and the same springs but the suspension sat at a mid point due to the additional rear weight. So if the back was heavier ...

Re: Windscreen washer
My build manual says it should be a Smiths T363 unit. Hella used to be an accessory manufacturer whereas Smiths were Original Mini fitment. Think it unlikely therefore that you will get a replacement pump. I'd change the setup based on roliroller's advice. See the picture attached to the post ...

Re: Coilover springs
When I had a Bronze the rear height was always a source of irritation which improved with a full tank and stuff in the back. Changing the spring rate won't lower the car reliably. The height is set by the free length of the damper unit. The spring is set softest as standard but over bumps especially ...

Re: Member 361 returning
Thanks David,
Just sold the car. It is going to a new good home in Brighton on Monday. The buyer has previously owned an earlier one so he is very familiar with A setries engines and the Gold model. He will be restoring it over Winter, so early next year look out for it in that area. He intends to ...

Re: MIDAS COUPE MK2 BUILD MANUAL
Hi Dave,
Presume you have got sorted. I have an original new Bronze manual I bought from Midas Cars about 1988. Bought a prebuilt car so didn't need to use it.
