7 port in a midas convertible
does a A+ engine 1275 /1380 with a 7 port head fit in a Midas without doing big changes ?
Re: 7 port in a midas convertible
I guess it depends on the induction system used.

Re: 7 port in a midas convertible
What do you just mean with induction system ?
Re: 7 port in a midas convertible
Sorry, the carburettors or fuel injection throttle bodies that you use, and the air filters. I think David's bonnet is dual-use, for two different cars, mainly to fit over his KAD twin-cam engine.ilmung wrote:What do you just mean with induction system ?
I imagine it'll be a tight squeeze with a standard bonnet and a 7 port, but the bonnet bulge may not need to be quite so big.
Re: 7 port in a midas convertible
If you are going this route no doubt David can sell you a bonnet since he makes these by himself.

Hi Geert, you can contact David Manifold directly via PM. He set up this forum so is the second one in the list.ilmung wrote:Hi Hans ,

The mould plug for this bonnet lives in my garage down here in Devon if that is any use to you.

Re: 7 port in a midas convertible
It's something I've also considered, although not in the near future.
I'm still undecided about which would be the best route to more engine fun, a 7 port head or one from a BMW K100 engine...
