nipples and stuff

hi all
what size fitting is it required to fit the rear grease nipples?

also, since the mk3 etc do away with rear hydragas so presumably the retaining straps , how do they overcome the tendancy for the frame to droop in use unsupported?
can the rear subframe bush be replaced with a bolted matalastic item?

My MK3 used the top damper bushes and the standard metro metal tab ground off the top surface of the subframe, and a hole for the bolt to pass through. I have a vague recollection Alistair posted a photo of the set-up at some point.
