Post by johnnyfixit »

Anybody on here have a CB fitted to their Midas as I was thinking of fitting one to wor lasses car for future breakdowns :D
Just thinking where to mount it as I didn't fancy anymore holes in the bodywork for the aerial also I've heard it has to be artificially grounded as well .Idears or photos welcome cheers

Your best bet would be a marine aerial that doesn't require a ground-plane.

This is one example http://www.rocketradio.co.uk/solarcon-g ... 1358-p.asp

although there are neater ones out there.

As I said it will be the best you can do, just the same as an aerial on your house, so yes they're good.

Having said that a mobile phone is going to be cheaper and far more versatile.
