Thanks, I'll need it, it looks like it will be possible to squeeze it in under the bonnet, justmanifold wrote:good luck

So how much power/torque can you get out of one of those? How tunable(tuneable?) are they?Stuart wrote:Thanks, I'll need it, it looks like it will be possible to squeeze it in under the bonnet, justmanifold wrote:good luck
Re: Micra engine in a Metro subframe
I'll be more than happy with more or less stock power to be honest.
Here's a very good read on some mods, that forum always runs really slowly with me for some reason

Re: Micra engine in a Metro subframe
Ive managed to get a honda b20 in the front of a standard length round nosed mini van so im sure you'll make it fit! Looks alot smaller lump
Re: Micra engine in a Metro subframe
Yes it's much smaller, the problem on the Midas is the sloping bonnet and the headlights that are set so far back, even David with his special A-series engines needs a higher bonnet.

I recall the chap in the Caribbean fitted a Nissan engine in a Bronze without any problems. Re: Micra engine in a Metro subframe
Indeed, even has air-con by the look of it. That is an earlier and much smaller engine, with a much more compact gearbox that meant it could be pushed well over to the nearside.
Still it shows what can be squeezed into a MK 1 and MK 2
